Tuesday, July 25

This was an afternoon sail in rather rough (small-craft-warning) weather. There were few other boats out and it was exhilarating!

The boat is named Nutmeg of Consolation after a 1991 Patrick O’Brian novel set in 1812. (Ernest bought the boat with the name attached, although it isn’t written on the stern.)

We picnicked in the lee of Ellison Bay Bluff (what little lee there was!), and then returned to the harbor at the end of the afternoon.
