- She also spells “gerrymandering” as “jerrymandering“–it’s named for Elbridge Gerry plus “salamander,” the shape formed by remapping an election district while Gerry was governor of Massachusetts.
And oh yeah: why do people think “quash” and “squash” are the same verb???
