Casey’s First Opening as Manager of the Last Rites Gallery, 5/23/15

In spite of the fact that it was the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, there was a good turnout for the show. Some new people were featured, as well as some of the gothic work for which the gallery has been known. Casey is trying to take this space to a newer, better-paying audience, but this is the first step. Eventually the art will be a mix of brighter themes, along with some of the darker work that has always been featured.

He brings years of experience, artist relationships, and sales ability to the job and it was a pleasure to watch him at work. He’s the best! (And with my background, I should know!!)

(Note: Casey Gleghorn is my roommate, and the owner of the famous cats, Peaches and Lola).
